Parcel Points UK Limited was started by four friends who recognised the problems associated with receiving parcel deliveries. After many months of research, discussions and hard work the concept of a national network of secure parcel collection sites was borne. The idea was that each Parcel Point site would accept parcel deliveries throughout the day and then be collected later at the customers convenience for example on the way home from work.

Parcel Points UK Limited wanted to provide a service that was quick and easy to use, secure and inexpensive. One of the key objectives was that everybody in the delivery chain from retailer to customer would benefit:

  • Retailer - making it easier for customers to buy online without delivery worries.
  • Courier/Parcel Delivery Company - savings in time and fuel due to avoiding double handling of parcels when no one was available to take initial delivery.
  • Parcel Point site - extra income combined with a unique marketing opportunity to the parcel collection customers who come into the existing business.
  • Customer - not having to wait in for parcels to be delivered or deal with the inconvenience of missed parcel deliveries.
